“To have a good life, it is not enough to remove what is wrong from it. We also need a positive goal, otherwise why keep going?”

About “Parent With Perspective”

What does it mean to “parent with perspective”? To me, it means parenting with insight, wisdom and experience. Insight into what you value, how you define success, and what your goals and expectations are as a parent. The wisdom to maintain focus on enabling your child to reach his or her full potential by nurturing their strengths. Getting to know your child’s true nature; teaching them as well as learning from them. An openness to benefitting from others’ experience and the advice of trusted experts, as well as seeking support from those who are like-minded.

To Parent with Perspective is to take the long view, to see the “big picture” and to recognize and celebrate the uniqueness of your individual child.

Through my own experiences as a parent and all it entails, along with my background in psychology and education, I have developed my own perspective on the issues and challenges facing parents today. I am excited to share those relevant insights with you and to support you in your journey. I invite you to follow my Blog, to contact me, tell me your story and join the Parent with Perspective community.
